CODY WELCH
BIO
Cody Welch is a Texas-born musician whose passion for Red Dirt music dates back to his formative years. As a child, he cherished the moments when his father would invite friends over to listen to "Texas Style Saturday Nights" on the local Stephenville radio show. There, they would hear singles from upcoming albums like Carney Man by Cross Canadian Ragweed, Break in The Storm by The Great Divide, and Dance Hall Dreamer by Pat Green, often before their official release. These early experiences deeply influenced Cody's writing style and continue to inspire him to this day.
During his live performances, Cody pays homage to the Texas songwriters who paved the way before him such as Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Robert Earl Keen, in addition to playing his own original compositions. He enjoys sharing the stories behind his music and explaining why he chooses to cover certain songs, encouraging his audience to engage, ask questions, and join in the fun by singing and dancing along.
With Cody Welch, you can expect an authentic and passionate performance that celebrates the rich musical heritage of Texas.
